Aston Martin has unveiled the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, which officially replaces the Vanquish S in Aston Martin’s lineup. The arrival of the DBS Superleggera also revives two names, with the DBS, which dates back to 1967 and the iconic Superleggera name.
Based on the new DB11, the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera features a carbon fiber body with unique aerodynamic touches, like the curlicue and Aeroblade that improve downforce to 397 pounds, the highest amount ever for a production Aston Martin.
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 715 horsepower and 664 lb-ft. of torque. The V12 is mated to a rear-mounted eight-speed automatic transmission, plus a mechanical limited-slip differential and torque vectoring. With that much power under the hood, it’s not surprising to hear that the DBA Superleggera can reach 62 mph in 3.4 seconds, 100 mph in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 211 mph. Lastly there are three driving modes: GT, Sport and Sport Plus.
Inside the DBS Superleggera’s seats are wrapped in leather and Alcantara. Buyers can choose from two 21-inch alloy wheel designs: the standard ‘Y’ Spoke Forged Wheel and the Lightweight Twin Spoke Forged wheel. It comes standard with a 360-degree camera with Parking Distance Display and Park Assist. The audio system has DAB plus Bluetooth audio and phone streaming, plus an integrated satellite navigation system and wi-fi hub.
The 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is priced at $304,995 and the first deliveries will start next quarter.
