The all-new 2015 Hyundai Genesis is set to debut in the U.S. at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show in January, but we already have a preview of what to expect, since Hyundai’s luxury sedan just debuted in Korea. The second generation Genesis is Hyundai’s first model to get its new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language and offers four different powertrains.
On the outside the 2015 Hyundai Genesis gets a very Audi like grille and shorter overhangs, while the wheelbase has been stretched three inches, which should provide more interior room. Inside the materials have been upgraded and a 9.2-inch touchscreen sits in the middle of the dashboard.
Under the hood buyers outside of the U.S. can choose between 3.0L, 3.3L, 3.8L and 5.0L engines. But in the U.S. we can expect the Genesis to only be offered with the 333-hp 3.8L V6 and the range topping 5.0L V8 with around 429 horsepower. The engines will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which can send the power to the rear wheels or all four via a new all-wheel-drive system.
Stay tuned for the debut of the 2015 Hyundai Genesis in early January.
