General Motors has just confirmed that the all-new 2014 Corvette will be powered by a 450 horsepower 6.2L V8.
GM is slowly starting to drop the details on the all-new 2014 Corvette, which is slated to debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. Last week GM unveiled the Corvette’s new logo and now the automaker has confirmed what will power the new Corvette.
The 2014 Chevy Corvette will be powered by a 450 horsepower 6.2L small block V8. The engine known internally as the LT1 will also be used in the new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. According to GM, the new Corvette will reach 0-60 mph in four seconds.
