Volvo has released the first official pics of the new 2008 Volvo XC70 a few days of its official release at the Geneva Auto Show. Based on the new 2008 V70, the XC70 is the offroad version. The car will be powered by the new 3.2L inline 6- cylinder (238 hp) or a 2.4L inline 5-cylinder diesel (185 hp).
As usual the new Volvo will also employ many new safety features such as: a height adjustable child safety seat, a Collision Warning with Brake Support System, Adaptive Cruise Control, A Blind Spot Info System, swiveling Bi-Xenon headlights, etc.
The new car looks much better than the last generation and it should do well with the anti-SUV crowds. Too bad the navigation system looks like an afterthought.
