All Future DaimlerChrysler Vehicles will have a Hybrid Option

According to CEO Dieter Zetsche all new vehicles built by the group will have a hybrid variant.

The CEO told German magazine Auto Motor und Sport that hybrids are "very important" in light of new European and U.S. emissions regulations. It is not known which of its vehicles will be the first to feature the technology. Although some are speculating that it could be the Dodge Durango, with a Mercedes version sometime in 2008.

Who knows if this will all change if DaimlerChrysler decides to end the current relationship between the two companies.
