Honda is desperately trying to change Acura’s image into a “Tier 1” brand. This year the automaker is redesigning all three of its current sedans. A new NSX is also in the works, but according to execs another all-new vehicle is going to be released before the NSX in 2010.

“We will have an all-new vehicle,” said Dan Bonawitz, vice president for corporate planning and logistics at American Honda Motor Company

The details about the “new vehicle” are scarce, but according to sources the vehicle could be a four-door coupe to compete with vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class. Pricing is expected to be around $50,000 and a hardtop convertible could also be in the works. A coupe has been missing from the Acura lineup since the RSX and CL were killed.
