Let’s be honest: the world isn’t exactly overflowing with affordable, rear-drive, straight-six roadsters anymore. The BMW Z4 has long been one of the last pure sports cars left standing — a long hood, a short deck, a straight-six up front, and power going to the right wheels. So the announcement of the 2026 BMW Z4 Final Edition is pretty sad ending for the roadster that entered our lives in 2002.

The Final Edition comes is available in only one color, The BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic paint and the exterior stands out with its Shadowline Package, red M Sport brake calipers, and a Moonlight Black soft top. The staggered wheel setup — 19-inch front, 20-inch rear — finishes the stance.
The part that stings? BMW finally got the Z4 exactly where purists wanted it: a turbocharged straight-six paired with a 6-speed manual. And then… they decided to discontinue it.
At least they’re sending the car out with a meaningful chassis upgrade. Manual models get the full Edition Handschalter tuning, including:
- New auxiliary springs
- Reinforced anti-roll bar clamp
- Revised damper and steering software
- Reworked traction control and M Sport diff calibration
Inside there’s Vernasca leather and Alcantara, red contrast stitching, red-piped floor mats, and special FINAL EDITION sills.

Production only runs from February to April 2026 and the pricing starts at $78,675, including destination.
