Porsche is officially pushing the Cayenne nameplate into its next era with the debut of the 2026 Cayenne Electric—an all-new battery-electric SUV that slots alongside the existing gas and plug-in hybrid versions. And in true Porsche fashion, it arrives with outrageous numbers: up to 1,139 horsepower, a 0–60 time of 2.4 seconds, and the most advanced chassis and charging tech the brand has ever put in an SUV.

The Cayenne Electric launches in two versions: the standard model and the Cayenne Turbo Electric. Both use Porsche’s new 800-volt architecture and dual-motor all-wheel drive. The headline-grabber is the Turbo, which unleashes 1,139 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque with Launch Control. That’s enough to move this SUV from 0–60 mph in just 2.4 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 9.9 seconds.

The standard Cayenne Electric has 402 hp (435 hp on Launch Control) and 615 lb-ft, it does 0–60 mph in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 143 mph.

Porsche also borrowed heavily from its motorsport program, including direct oil cooling for the rear motor on the Turbo model and up to 600 kW of energy recuperation.

A new 113 kWh battery and 800-volt electrical system allows DC fast-charging up to 400 kW. Under ideal conditions, Porsche says the battery can jump from 10 to 80 percent in under 16 minutes. The Cayenne Electric comes with NACS charging as standard—plus a CCS adapter.

Porsche is also offering its first inductive wireless charging setup, capable of up to 11 kW if you opt for the floor-plate system.

The design stays unmistakably Cayenne but with sharper surfacing, a lower hood, frameless doors, and a more dramatic roofline. Porsche quotes a drag coefficient of 0.25. Turbo models get exclusive “Turbonite” accents, while both versions offer aero-optimized wheels, adaptive aero blades, and an active roof spoiler.

Buyers looking for more rugged capability can add an Off-Road Design package with revised bumpers and improved approach angles.

The electric Cayenne grows slightly overall, but the biggest difference is its longer 119-inch wheelbase—almost five inches more than the gas model. Cargo space ranges from 19.5 to 56.1 cubic feet, plus an additional 3.2-cu-ft frunk. Towing capacity maxes out at 7,716 pounds.

Inside, Porsche introduces new “Mood Modes” that adjust lighting, climate, display themes, and even seating. A switchable-glass panoramic roof and new interior surface heating add to the luxury feel.

The Cayenne Electric gets Porsche’s latest Driver Experience interface with a curved OLED center display, digital gauge cluster, optional passenger display, and an augmented-reality head-up display. Porsche’s upgraded voice assistant, expanded third-party app support, and a new Porsche Digital Key (shareable with up to seven users) push the SUV deeper into connected territory.
