We said goodbye to Bentley’s W-12 engine last year, which was the end of the line of the brand’s twelve-cylinder models. Although the massive engine is gone, Bentley has unveiled something new and more powerful, the new Bentayga Speed is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, which has more horsepower than the old engine.

2026 Bentley Bentayga Speed

The new 4.0-liter V8 engine has 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, which is an increase of 15 hp, but it has a decrease in torque, by 37 lb-ft. Bentley says the 2026 Bentayga Speed can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds, which is a half second quicker than before.

The suspension has also been stiffened a bit and the steering response is now quicker to make it even more fun to drive. Other upgrades include rear-wheel steering, a sports exhaust system and an optional carbon-ceramic brakes.
