Volkswagen has released more details about the ID. Buzz, which it calls the “electric reincarnation of the iconic Microbus.” The ID. Buzz will be offered in three trim levels: Pro S, Pro S Plus and 1st Edition.

2025 VW ID. Buzz

All three trim levels will feature a 91 kWh battery pack. Rear-wheel drive models will have 282 horsepower, while all-wheel drive versions will have 335 hp.

The ID. Buzz comes standard with a 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 30-color ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and the IQ. Drive driver assistance suite. The Pro S Plus models feature a head-up display, a 700-watt harman/kardon audio system and is available with an electrochromic panoramic glass roof.

2025 VW ID. Buzz

The launch-only 1st Edition is only available with a two-tone exterior and features unique 20-inch wheels, roof rail cross bars, and 1st Edition badging. Inside there’s a “coastal-inspired interior” with retro floor mats, and exclusive 1st Edition owner’s gifts. The 1st Edition adds the electrochromic panoramic glass roof, Area View, 700-watt harman/kardon sound system, Flexboard, and easy/open sliding doors & tailgate.

Pro S models will only be available with rear-wheel drive, with a bench seat to fit up to seven passengers. Pro S Plus and 1st Edition models are available with either rear-wheel- or all-wheel-drive . On Pro S Plus rear-wheel-drive models, bench seating is standard, with an available captain’s chair package with seating for six. Rear-wheel-drive 1st Edition models only offer a rear bench. On both Pro S Plus and 1st Edition 4Motion models, captain’s chairs come standard.

The 2025 VW ID. Buzz will be available in a long list of colors. Two-tone options will either pair a Candy White top with Energetic Orange, Pomelo Yellow, Blue Charcoal, Mahi Green, Metro Silver, Cabana Blue or Indium Grey below; or a Metro Silver top with Cherry Red below. Three single-tone options will be offered as well: Metro Silver, Candy White, and Deep Black Pearl.
