A few months ago, Volkswagen unveiled the updated 2024 Atlas at the Chicago Auto Show. Now it’s using this week’s New York Auto Show to introduce the special Atlas Peak Edition. The more rugged Peak Edition is inspired by the Atlas Basecamp concept that debut in 2019.
The Atlas Peak Edition looks the part with its more rugged front fascia and silver underbody cladding. The face also gets a gloss-black “X” design element and a blacked out grille with two chrome strips. On the side there’s a large Peak Edition badge in orange and chrome and blacked out trim. The Atlas Peak Edition rides on black 18-inch wheels with 255/60 all-terrain tires. The rear gets a black tailgate strip and a black and silver diffuser with chrome exhaust bezels.
Inside the seats are wrapped in black leatherette with light grey accents and orange stitching. Black metallic trim has been added to the dashboard and doors. The “Peak Edition” badge has been added to the steering wheel and a backlit dash decor.
The 2024 VW Atlas Peak Edition will arrive this summer when the rest of the Atlas lineup goes on sale.
