We already expected this, but now it’s here, Subaru has unveiled a more rugged Wilderness version of the 2024 Crosstrek. The Crosstrek Wilderness follows the introduction of the Outback Wilderness and Forester Wilderness models.

Just like the other Wilderness models, the 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness is ready for an off-roading adventure with extra body cladding with rubberized plastic around the fenders and bumpers. It also gets a higher 9.3-inch ground clearance and comes standard with the more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder that’s currently offered in the Sport and Limited trim levels. The transmission has been retuned with a shorter final drive ratio. A new transmission cooler allows for a higher 3,500 pound tow rating.

The suspension has been updated with longer coil springs and new dampers. Thanks to the extra ground clearance, the approach, departure and break-over angles have increased by 2.0, 2.9 and 1.4 degrees. It rides on matte black 17-inch wheels with Yokohama Geolander all-terrain tires.

The pricing for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness starts at $33,290, including destination. There’s an available package that adds a moonroof, power driver seat, and Harmon Kardon audio system for $2,270.
