The Chicago Auto Show has started and Subaru has unveiled the 2024 Crosstrek crossover at the show. The third-generation Crosstrek gets updated styling, a stiffer chassis and updated tech features.
The 2024 Crosstrek is available with two powertrain options, either a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine with 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque or a 2.5-liter boxer engine with 182 hp and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a CVT and standard all-wheel drive. Subaru hasn’t made any announcements about the return of the hybrid option, so we’ll have to wait and see about an electrified option.
If going off-road is your thing, the good news is that the Crosstrek has 8.7-inches of ground clearance and Subaru says that the chassis is 10 percent stiffer than before. The Crosstrek also borrows the WRX’s dual-pinion electronic power steering rack.
Inside there’s a standard 7.0-inch screen or an optional 11.6-inch Starlink multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The pricing for the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek starts at $26,290, including destination. The 2.0-liter Base and Premium models will arrive this spring, followed by the 2.5-liter Sport and Limited models this summer.
