Earlier this year Hyundai unveiled the updated 2024 Sonata and now Hyundai has released all the details about the US-spec version.

On the outside the 2024 Sonata gets a dramatic facelift to give it a bolder and more modern look. At the front there’s a new full-width LED light strip above the new bumper. At the rear there’s also a light bar with LEDs. For a sportier look, the N Line adds a rear lip spoiler, oval exhaust tips and different wheels.
Under the hood, the base engine is a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter, but the previous turbocharged 1.6-liter has been dropped from the lineup. The 2.5-liter can now be equipped with all-wheel drive, which marks the first time that the Sonata has been available with AWD. This will help it compete with other all-wheel drive midsize sedans, like the Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Toyota Camry.
The Sonata N Line is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter, but it only sends its power to the front wheels. The Sonata hybrid is also available with its 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain.

Inside there are some big updates, like the new 12.3-inch touchscreen that’s mounted in a curved display with the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard and the optional 12-speaker Bose audio system has been updated. The dashboard also gets a new air vent and the gearshit is now mounted on the steering column instead of the center console.
The 2024 Hyundai Sonata will arrive this winter.
