GMC is expanding its off-road ready AT4X lineup with the addition of the 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X and Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition models, which equip the heavy duty trucks with several upgrades to make them more capable once the pavement ends.

2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X

The Sierra HD AT4X builds on the HD version with the addition of a 1.5-inch suspension lift, unique front upper and lower control arms and specific steering knuckles, Multimatic DSSV dampers, a rear e-locking differential, 35-inch Goodyear Territory tires, a larger steel transfer case skid plate and front aluminum skid plate.

Inside there’s an Obsidian Rush interior with leather wrapped front seats that have a massage function.

The AT4X AEV Edition adds stamped steel bumpers with integrated recovery points and front winch capability. It also features heavy duty steel skid plates and unique 18-inch Salta wheels.

Under the hood buyers can choose either a 6.6-liter gas engine or the 6.6-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel. The diesel engine generates 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Sierra HD AT4X also gets a new Off-Road Mode that adjusts the anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control, throttle and transmission shifts to make it even more capable when off-roading.

The 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4X and AT4X AEV Edition will arrive in the fall of 2023.
