GMC is getting ready to release its first electric pickup truck, the 2024 Sierra EV. GMC has announced the pricing for the first version, the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, which is priced at $99,495.
The Sierra EV now has a longer range than originally estimated at 440 miles, thanks to some updates to GM’s Ultium platform. The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 can tow up to 10,000 pounds and 1,450 pounds of max payload, an increase of 500 pounds and 150 pounds respectively from initial estimates.
The Edition 1 comes with the cool CrabWalk feature that at low speeds, allows the angle of the rear wheels to mimic the angle of the front wheels. This allows for diagonal movement of the Sierra EV. The Sierra EV Edition 1 arrives with 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. It’s 800-volt architecture allows it to accept rates up to 350kW, which means that to up to 100 miles of range can be added in a mere 10 minutes.
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will arrive this summer.
