The Toyota Crown has been around since 1955 and there are reports that it will finally make its return to the U.S. Now we may have an idea of what it will look like, thanks to some patent images that have leaked online.
These patent images come from Japan and were posted by Design Watch. The car we see here appears to be a lifted fastback. According to reports, the new Crown will be based on the TNGA-K platform and will be offered with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive versions. A plug-in hybrid is also expected.
The new Crown is slated to debut on July 15. We’ll have to wait and see if what we see here is coming to the US, since there have been rumors about a new Crown SUV coming.
