Lexus has announced the pricing for its first fully electric model in the US, the 2023 RZ 450e crossover. The RZ will be offered in two trim levels: RZ 450e Premium and RZ 450e Luxury. The pricing for the Premium trim starts at $59,650.
The Premium trim level comes standard with a 14-inch touchscreen display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic roof, ambient lighting, a 10-speaker audio system, adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Premium comes with 18-inch wheels that gives it a 220-mile range, but the larger 20-inch wheels reduce the driving range to 196 miles.
The Luxury trim level starts at $65,150 and adds a 10-inch head-up display, heated rear seats, an 1,800-watt Mark Levinson audio system with 13 speakers, 20-inch wheels, front cross-traffic alert, lane change assist and ultrasuede fabric that wraps the seats.
Both trim levels are powered by two electric motors that generate a combined 308 horsepower and a 71.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack. With that limited driving range, the RZ is already behind several of its rivals, like the Audi Q4 E-tron with its 265-mile range and the Tesla Model Y that has a 330-mile range.
