It’s hard to believe that it’s already been 30th years since the Jeep Grand Cherokee debuted in 1992 at the Detroit Auto SHow where it crashed through the glass at Cobo Hall. Since then, Jeep has sold more than 7 million Grand Cherokees.

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe 30th anniversary edition is based on the plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee, which has 25 miles of electric range. On the outside it stands out with blacked-out trim, blue tow hooks, dual exhaust, 20-inch black wheels, a dual-pane sunroof, special badging, and body-color rear fascia, lower moldings, sill claddings and wheel flares.

Inside there are black Capri leather seats, ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, nine-speaker Alpine audio system and Uconnect 5 with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and navigation. The 30th anniversary edition also comes standard with front/rear park assist, Intersection Collision Assist, passive entry, rain-sensing windshield wipers, digital rearview mirror and 360-degree surround view camera system.

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe 30th anniversary edition package lists for $4,700 on top of the price of the plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee. It’s slated to arrive in early 2023.
