Jeep is sending off the EcoDiesel engine with the limited edition 2023 Gladiator Rubicon FarOut edition. The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel was first introduced in 2021.

“As the Jeep brand continues its drive to electrification, we are phasing out EcoDiesel technology with the final, limited-edition Gladiator Rubicon FarOut,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America.

The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine has 442 lb.-ft. of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Gladiator Rubicon FarOut features 17-inch low-gloss black wheels that are wrapped in 33-inch tires, a steel front bumper, body-color fenders, and a black grille. Inside there are black leather seats with red stitching, leather wrapped dash panels.

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon FarOut edition is priced at $71,790, including destination. Jeep only plans to build 1,000 units. Deliveries will start in the third quarter of this year.
