The 2022 Honda Civic was all-new last year and now we’ve learned one of the big changes for the 2023 Civic. CarsDirect obtained an order guide for the 2023 Civic, which reveals that the base LX trim level has been discontinued.
With the continued shortages of inventory on dealer lots, buyers have been willing to pay more for the more feature rich trim levels. A Honda spokesperson confirmed that the Civic Sport has been the most popular trim level. This change isn’t surprising, since Honda also recently dropped the LX trim from the 2023 CR-V.
With this change, that means the base price of the 2023 Civic has climbed to $25,745, which is a $2,200 increase over the 2022 Civic LX. Across the board, the Civic trim levels get a $500 to $700 increase. The sporty 2023 Civic Si also now starts at $29,195.
