Porsche has unveiled the updates to the 2022 Porsche Taycan electric sedan, which is getting some new tech upgrades, paint options and some other minor changes.

The biggest news is the addition of Android Auto compatibility, since previously Apple CarPlay was the only option. Remote Park Assist is also now optional, which lets drivers use their smartphone to remotely control the parking when driving into and out of parking spaces. The Remote Park Assist function independently takes over steering and control of the forward and reverse movements of the vehicle.

Porsche has also updated the Taycan’s battery fast-charge conditioning program to shorten charge times and improve efficiency. “With the Turbo Charging Planner, the high-voltage battery can now be heated to a slightly higher temperature than before. This means that fast charging is possible earlier and at a higher charge level. In addition, the waste heat from the electrical components is used to an even greater extent for battery temperature regulation.”

Buyers will also be able to choose new color options with the addition of Paint to Sample options. This includes the Moonlight Blue Metallic, Acid Green, Rubystone Red, Riviera Blue and Viola Metallic colors. Paint to Sample Plus options are also available.
