Nissan has announced the updates and pricing for the 2022 Nissan Leaf EV. The biggest update is that the CHAdeMO quick charge port and portable 240-volt charging cable is now standard across the lineup. The Leaf continues to be offered in two versions, the standard model and the extended range Leaf Plus. The Leaf Plus also now comes standard with ProPILOT Assist and the Intelligent Around View Monitor.
The Leaf is powered by a 147 hp electric motor and a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery that gives it a range up to 149 miles. The Plus is powered by a 214 hp electric motor and a 62 kWh battery that gives it a range up to 226 miles.
The 2022 Nissan Leaf S starts at $28,375, including destination, while the Leaf S Plus starts at $33,375. Unlike Tesla, the Leaf is still eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit.
