Audi has announced the pricing and details about the updated 2022 A8 and S8 models, which now have a simplified lineup. There will now only two versions available, the V6-powered A8 and the V8-powered S8, which means the plug-in hybrid versions are no longer being offered.
The 2022 Audi A8 starts at $87,895, which is only a $50 increase over last year’s model. The S8 gets a big $14,250 price decrease with its starting price now at $118,995. The A8 is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 with 335 horsepower, while the S8 gets a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 with 563 hp.
The 2022 A8 gets some styling updates with a new wider singleframe grille, while the rear gets some updates to its taillights. The S8 stands out with its four tailpipes. Both the A8 and S8 are available with a Black Optic Plus package that adds black mirrors, badges, rings, and black 21-inch wheels.
