The Ford GT40 is still the only American supercar to win at Le Mans – a feat that Ford achieved bat the 254 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. Before that win, the GT40 also won the 1966 Daytona 24 Hour Continental race, the GT40’s first endurance race win.

2021 Ford GT Heritage Edition

To celebrate its victory in 1966, Ford has unveiled the 2021 GT Heritage Edition, which is inspired by the GT40 MK II’s 1966 Daytona 24 Hour Continental race victory.

The GT Heritage Edition is painted in Frozen white with an exposed carbon fiber hood. It also gets asymmetrical Race Red accents on the front fascia and roof edge, driver’s side door and underneath the rear wing add distinct visuals. Lastly exposed carbon fiber shapes the signature 98 roundel graphics and there are unique Ford graphics on the lower rear-quarter panels. It also gets one-piece Heritage Gold 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels and red lacquered Brembo monoblock brake calipers.

Inside, there’s black Alcantara suede on the instrument panel, headliner and steering wheel, while the seats are wrapped in red Alcantara suede. The interior is topped off with anodized red paddle shifters.

If you want to make the GT Heritage Edition even more special, there’s the Heritage Upgrade Package, which adds 20-inch exposed carbon fiber wheels with a unique gloss red-painted inner accent barrel and black brake calipers with Brembo lettering in red. Inside the package adds ghosted 98 roundels.

2021 Ford GT Studio Collection graphics package

If the GT Heritage Edition isn’t your cup of tea, Ford has also announced the GT Studio Collection package, which features a new graphics package and customizable colors.
