Volvo has unveiled the 2019 Volvo V60 Cross Country, which is the higher riding, off-road ready version of the V60 wagon. The 2019 V60 Cross Country is a more crossover-like version of the V60 for buyers that don’t want a true crossover, like the XC60.
Compared to the V60, the V60 Cross Country has a 75 mm higher ride height and all-wheel drive is standard. To give it better capability when the paved road ends, the V60 Cross Country also gets Hill Descent Control, Corner Traction Control and a unique Off-Road driving mode.
The 2019 Volvo V60 Cross Country is going to go on sale in Europe first with the T5 AWD powertrain. It’s not going to arrive in the US until sometime in 2019 as a 2020 model. Volvo is also planning plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid versions of the V60 Cross Country as well, but it hasn’t announced when they will be released.
Inside the V60 Cross Country will feature the Sensus Connect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G connectivity. The available Pilot Assist system supports the driver with steering, acceleration and braking on up to 80 mph. Some of the other driver assistance features include Run-off Road Mitigation and Oncoming Lane Mitigation, and Cross Traffic Alert with autobrake.
The Volvo V60 Cross Country will be via the Care by Volvo subscription service, but Volvo hasn’t announced the monthly pricing.
