Last week Cadillac previewed its future lineup at its annual dealer meeting in Las Vegas. Cadillac’s renaissance is starting with the 2019 Cadillac XT4 crossover and it’s expected that the three-row XT6 will debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. While Cadillac has yet to release any official previews of its new models, some dealers have been a bit vocal about what they saw in Las Vegas and overall it sounds quite positive.

We already know that Cadillac’s sedan lineup is being reshuffled. The ATS sedan is already done and the CTS is going to follow it soon. Both sedans will be replaced by the new CT4 and CT5 sedans, but we have yet to hear any official word about either of them. What the dealers are talking about are the 2020 XT6 and the redesigned 2020 Escalade.

Dealer Ed Williamson, who owns the Williamson Automotive Group in Miami, described the exterior of the 2020 Cadillac Escalade as “evolutionary, not revolutionary,” but the interior is getting a major upgrade and was described as being “really jazzy.” There was a recent report that stated that the 2020 Escalade would be offered with up to three different engine options, but according to the dealers at the meeting, the 2020 Escalade will only be offered with the same engine as the current model.

“The Escalade was up on a stage, they had a camera inside that projected on a screen so we could see the inside. As soon as they showed it to us, they covered it up and it was gone,” stated Tyler Thompson, general manager of Thompson Buick GMC Cadillac in Springfield, Missouri. “We need it, and the interiors on the XT6 and Escalade are gorgeous.”

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 is expected to arrive by late next year, which will be followed by the 2020 Escalade, which will go on sale by the end of 2019 or early 2020.
