When the next-generation 2019 Porsche Cayenne arrives next year it will take vehicle networking to a new level, thanks to its Porsche Connect Plus system. With the Porsche Connect Plus system, drivers can now access Amazon Music, Smart Home functions provided by Nest, and Radio Plus.
Like your phone, the new Cayenne is permanently online thanks to the integrated, LTE-compatible SIM card. Porsche has also developed a simplified smartphone app for the key Connected Car functions. With Amazon Music you can stream music in the Cayenne directly from the PCM. If you use Nest to monitor and control your home, you’ll be informed about your home at all times in the vehicle. The service transmits data from smoke detectors and images from installed cameras via the Internet. It also enables control of the temperature in the house directly from the vehicle.
The Cayenne’s navigation system also constantly monitors traffic and road conditions to help you find the best route. You can also quickly find your destination with the Porsche Connect App on your smartphone or via the “My Porsche” platform.
The Porsche Connect App will even let owners check whether their doors, tailgate and windows are closed and the driver can also lock or unlock the vehicle with the App.
Porsche will start taking orders for the 2019 Porsche Cayenne in December, but it won’t arrive until next summer. Pricing for the 2019 Cayenne starts at $66,750, while the Cayenne S starts at $83,950. The Cayenne Turbo will arrive shortly after the base and Cayenne S models.
