Mercedes-Benz is giving the entire 2019 C-Class lineup some sportier upgrades. We’ve already seen the updated 2019 C-Class sedan and now Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the updates to the 2019 C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. All the updated C-Class models will debut next week at the New York Auto Show.
For starters the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet get a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 255 horsepower, an increase in 14 hp, and 273 lb-ft of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. If you step up to the C 43 AMG you’ll get a 3.0-liter V6 engine that now produces 385 hp, an increase of 23 hp, and 384 lb-ft. The new C 43 Coupe accelerates from a 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the Cabriolet in 4.6 seconds. All-wheel drive is available on the C300, but it’s standard on the C 43 models.
On the outside the 2019 C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet get updated front and rear fascias. At the front there’s a new bumper and the LED headlamps have a been redesigned. For the first time, the 2019 C-Class is available with LED Intelligent headlamps with Ultra Wide high beams. At the rear the exhaust system has been tweaked and there are new LED taillamps.
If you want your 2019 C-Class to stand out, there’s the AMG Line exterior package that includes the diamond radiator grille with chrome pins plus an AMG-specific front bumper. The available Night Package adds black design features, including the black trim elements in the AMG front bumper and the AMG rear bumper plus exterior mirror housings painted in high-gloss black.
There are two new color options for the 2019 C-Class, Mojave Silver Metallic and exclusively for the coupe and cabriolet within the C-Class family: Graphite Grey.
Inside there’s a standard 10.25-inch screen for the infotainment system. The C-Class also features a new optional, fully-digital instrument cluster with the three visually distinguishable styles: Classic, Sport” and Progressive.
