Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new hot hatch, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic, which is going to debut next month at the Paris Motor Show. The A35 4Matic will rival other sporty hatchbacks, like the Audi S3 and VW Golf R in Europe.

The 2019 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque, which is mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission. The power is also sent to all four wheels via the 4Matic all-wheel drive system. The Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic can reach 62 mph in 4.7 seconds and it has a top speed of 155 mph.

To keep everything under control, the A35 4Matic gets 350-mm front and 330-mm rear disc brakes and to make sure everyone knows how special it is, there are silver-painted brake calipers with black AMG lettering. There are also five different driving modes to suite whatever mood you’re in or the road conditions: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport + and Individual.

While the A35 4Matic hatchback won’t be headed to the US, it gives a preview of what we can expect from the AMG versions of the new A-Class sedan.
