Thanks to leaked documents and even a press release from Mazda in Japan, we already know that the 2019 Mazda CX-5 is getting the same 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder as the Mazda6 and CX-9 models. But now another leaked document is providing a bit more details about the 2019 CX-5.

A new product information bulletin has leaked, which again confirms the new turbocharged engine, but it also reveals that the 2019 CX-5 will add two more trim levels. The two new trim levels, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature, will come exclusively with the new turbocharged engine, while the lower trim levels will only get the current 2.5L naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine.

The leaked document, which was posted on Reddit also confirms that the 2.5L turbocharged engine will have the same 227 horsepower and 310 lb-ft. of torque as the Japanese-spec CX-5.

The new CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve model will also come standard with the a head-up display, front ventilated seats, power folding side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and a windshield wiper de-icer. The CX-5 Signature will be now be the top trim level and it adds ambient interior lighting, a black headliner, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, Caturra Brown Nappa leather seats, genuine layered wood interior trim, and a unique steering wheel.

Also all trim levels, except the base CX-5 Sport, will come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

According to the leaked documents, the 2019 Mazda CX-5 will start at $25,345. The new Grand Touring Reserve model starts at $35,865 and the top spec Signature model starts at $37,885. You might be wondering about the CX-5 Diesel, but sadly there are still no details about when it’s going to arrive.
