With 650 horsepower on tap, a 0-62 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph, the 2019 Lamborghini Urus is definitely worthy of its badge. Lamborghini has officially unveiled the 2019 Urus today ahead of its arrival next spring.

2019 Lamborghini Urus

Lamborghini calls the Urus the “first Super Sport Utility Vehicle” due to the fact that it elevates the SUV to new performance heights. The Urus is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbo engine delivering 650 hp and 627 lb-ft. of torque. That’s good enough to help the SUV reach 62 mph in 3.6 seconds, 124 mph in 12.8 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph – making it the fastest SUV available.

The V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system with torque vectoring. Torque is split 40/60 in normal conditions, but the system can send a maximum amount of 70 percent to the front or 87% to the rear based on certain driving conditions. The active torque vectoring system enables power to be instantly distributed to each individual rear wheel for enhanced traction, depending on the driving mode, driving style and the road grip.

There are also six driving modes: Strada, Terra (off-road), Neve (snow), Sport, Sabbia (sand) and Corsa. Rear steering taken from the Aventador S varies the steering angle up to +/- 3.0 degrees.

On the outside its easy to tell that the Urus is a Lamborghini with its the two-thirds body, one-third window ratio of Lamborghini super sports cars, while inside there is room for up to five passengers. You can also select a sportier two-seat rear layout if you don’t need space for five.
