The updated 2019 Kia Optima debuted today at the New York Auto Show. Kia’s most popular sedan gets updated design cues inside and out, plus new driver assistance tech and the latest version of Kia’s UVO infotainment system.
The 2019 Kia Optima gets a small nip and tuck on the outside with new LED daytime running lights, updated alloy wheel designs and an updated grille.
The base 2019 Optima LX comes standard with Stinger-inspired LED daytime running lights, new 16-inch alloy wheels and anew grille with a matte gray-finish.
Step up to the Optima S and you get new projection beam fog lamps, LED taillights, dual exhaust, sport side sills with gloss black trim, a gloss-black grill and 18-inch alloy wheels. The Optima S also gets a push-button start system.
The 2019 Optima EX is powered by a turbocharged 178-horsepower engine with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with an adaptive Smart Shift drive mode. It also adds new leather seats with front seat heaters and a new 17-inch alloy wheel design.
The top SX and SXL trim levels comes with redesigned 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights, ambient interior lighting, sport steering wheel and Smart Cruise Control. The SX features available red and black two-tone sport leather seats, panoramic roof, a Harman Kardon audio system with UVO link with Navigation, heated steering wheel, gloss black door pillars and side moldings, and a sport bumper with LED fog lamps.
The 2019 Kia Optima comes standard with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Driver Attention Warning.
