Hyundai has announced that the 2019 Hyundai Veloster will begin arriving in showrooms this quarter, with a price tag starting at $19,385 with the destination fees included. The 2019 Veloster originally debuted earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show.
This time around the 2019 Hyundai Veloster looks a bit more grown up with a more sculpted exterior, but it keeps the fun asymmetrical layout with its two-plus-one door bodystyle. Under the hood buyers will be able to choose between three engine options. The regular 2019 Veloster is available with either a 2.0L four-cylinder with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft. of torque or a turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder that generates 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. If you step up to the Veloster N, you’ll get a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque.
The base 2.0L can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.6L in the Veloster Turbo gets either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The Veloster N sends its power to the front wheels a six-speed manual.
Inside the 2019 Veloster offers several new tech features, like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a head-up display, Qi wireless-charging capability, an eight-inch infotainment system and thre Infinity Premium audio system with eight speakers. The 2019 Veloster also comes standard with Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.
The base 2019 Veloster starts at $19,385, while the Veloster Turbo starts at $23,785. Hyundai hasn’t announced the pricing for the Veloster N.
