Genesis has yet to announce it, but thanks to the EPA we now know that the 2019 G70 will be offered with a six-speed manual in the U.S. The EPA has released the fuel economy specs for the 2019 Genesis G70 and a six-speed manual that’s mated to the 252-hp turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is on the list.
We don’t have all the details yet, but its expected that it the six-speed manual will be offered as an option on the 2.0T Sport trim with rear-wheel drive. If you want more power the 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 is an option, but it will probably only be available with an eight-speed automatic. All-wheel drive will be optional with either engine, while rear-wheel drive will be standard.
If you choose the rear-wheel drive, automatic equipped with the 2.0L, it’s rated at 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, while the manual version is rated at 18 mpg city and 28 mpg on the highway. The V6 is rated at 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while the all-wheel drive is slightly less efficient at 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
