It was only three years ago that Ford introduced the all-new Ford Edge, but for 2019 the Edge is getting a pretty big refresh that also sees the introduction of the Edge ST. The 2019 Ford Edge gets a new face, more power and new tech upgrades that will keep it on top of its game.
In addition to the new front and rear fascias, the 2019 Edge now comes standard with a 2.0L turbocharged engine that generates five more horsepower than before at 250-hp. The 2.0l still generates the same 275 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission with auto start-stop technology.
Inside the 2019 Edge features a redesigned center console with a new rotary gearshift dial and a wireless charging pad. The 2019 Edge also introduces new safety technology, like Post-Collision braking that automatically applies the brakes after an initial collision, Evasive Steering Assist that helps steer the vehicle around stopped or slower vehicles and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering that helps keep the vehicle centered in its lane.
Ford has not announced when the 2019 Edge will be available.
