This weekend, Chevrolet is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its truck lineup, but it just surprised everyone with the debut of the all-new 2019 Chevy Silverado at the Texas Motor Speedway. Chevy hasn’t unveiled all the details, but it did show off the 2019 Silverado in a new LT Trailboss trim level.
“For the Chevy Truck Centennial, we wanted to recognize the customers who have made Chevrolet part of their lives, and have them help kick off the next 100 years of Chevy Trucks.”
The 2019 Chevy Silverado will officially debut next month at the Detroit Auto Show, but Chevy has decided to give everyone an early look at the new Silverado today. The 2019 Silverado gets new “strong, modern” styling with new LED lighting and a more modern take on the iconic Chevy grille.
“It’s strong, it’s modern, but it’s instantly recognizable as a Chevy truck.” stated Alan Batey, president of GM’s North American operations. The entire 2019 Silverado lineup will be lighter thanks to stronger, roll-formed steel alloy that’s used in the bed and floor.
The Silverado LT Trailboss is one of eight 2019 Silverado models. It features the off-road equipment from the Z71 package plus adds a two-inch suspension lift.
Chevy has not announced what will power the new 2019 Silverado, but we’ll have all the details next month in Detroit. The 2019 Chevy Silverado will arrive in late 2018.
