Acura has announced the updates to the 2019 Acura TLX, which includes the introduction of the new 2.4-liter A-Spec model- the A-Spec sport package was originally only available on the V6-powered TLX.
The A-Spec package adds a matte-black diamond pentagon grille surrounded by a dark chrome border, a more aggressive lower front fascia with round LED fog lights and a darkened Jewel Eye LED headlights. The TLX A-Spec also gets unique 19-inch Shark Gray alloy wheels, a decklid spoiler, “smoked” LED taillights, and the rear is finished off with a lower diffuser and 4-inch round dual exhaust finishers.
Inside, the TLX A-Spec features more aggressive front seats, red LED ambient light piping, red driver’s meter highlights, a black headliner and pillar treatment, brushed aluminum-look instrument panel garnish, and a unique steering wheel with A-Spec badging.
The TLX A-Spec V6 models equipped with SH-AWD also get a quicker steering ratio, stiffer springs and a rear stabilizer bar.
The 2019 TLX doesn’t get any upgrades under the hood, so its available again with either a 206 horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed dual clutch transmission or a 290 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is available available with the V6 and four-cylinder models get Acura Precision All-Wheel Steer.
The rest of the updates to the 2019 Acura TLX are small with a new 19″ wheel for V6-powered Technology & Advance models, the Black Copper Pearl exterior color has been discontinued, and there’s a new Platinum White Pearl color.
Pricing for the 2019 TLX starts at $33,965.
