Just like its cousin, the Ford Expedition, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator has earned a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety. The 2018 Navigator has the received the highest safety rating possible, plus its safety rating is higher than its closest rival, the Cadillac Escalade.
Just like the Expedition, the Navigator’s lighter aluminum body, fully boxed steel frame, dual pyrotechnic pretensioners in front seat belts and driver-assist technologies helped the 2018 Lincoln Navigator achieve the top safety rating.
“We want our Lincoln clients to feel at ease and confident behind the wheel for an ultimately enjoyable driving experience,” said Andrew Kernahan, Lincoln Navigator chief engineer. “Our innovative technology allows us to enhance that experience while also improving the vehicle’s overall safety.”
