Lincoln has unveiled the all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator at the New York Auto Show. The new Navigator as originally previewed as a concept last year and compared to the outgoing model, the new Navigator amplifies the style and luxury for the large SUV.
“Quiet luxury is both a look and a feeling,” says Kumar Galhotra, president, The Lincoln Motor Company. “The all-new Navigator embodies both. The sleek styling, spacious interior and technology are all designed to make each trip effortless.”
The 2018 Navigator’s exterior continues to command a presence, just like every other Navigator before it, but now it also adds a level of classic American styling that is everything that the new Lincoln brand is about. The 2018 Navigator is now 200 pounds lighter than before thanks to its aluminum-alloy body.

Under the hood the 2018 Navigator gets its motivation from a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 that generates a healthy 450 horsepower. The V6 is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and buyers can choose between rear or all-wheel drive. The new Navigator can now tow more than before giving it a class leading rating, although Lincoln hasn’t revealed the final specs.
Inside the 2018 Navigator offers spacious accommodations with three rows of seats. The interior is also now quieter thanks to more sound insulation and laminated glass. “When designing the Navigator, we put an emphasis on ultra-luxury touch points,” says David Woodhouse, Lincoln design director. “We took everything the client would see and touch, and made sure it would look and feel a little more exuberant, a little more indulgent and incredibly beautiful.”
The all-new Navigator’s interior also features six USB ports, four 12-volt power outlets and a 110-volt plug to keep all your gadgets fully charged. An available wireless phone charger is also in the first-row. The 2018 Navigator also comes standard with Sync 3 with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. An available rear-seat entertainment system allows passengers to stream content wirelessly with an Android device to one of the 10-inch adjustable screens mounted on the rear of the front seats.
Just like the Navigator’s cousin, the Ford Expedition, the Navigator can also give Slingbox owners access to their TV channels on the go.
The 2018 Navigator will arrive by the end of the year.
