The next-generation 2018 Kia Rio will arrive in showrooms next month, but Kia has announced the pricing now. The 2018 Kia Rio starts at $13,900 for the sedan and $14,200 for the five-door hatchback. With a new lower starting price and more content, Kia is ready to compete with rivals, like the Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit.
The 2018 Rio will be offered in three trim levels – LX, S and EX. The S starts at $16,100 for the sedan and $16,400 for the five-door. The top-spec EX starts at $18,400 for the sedan and $18,700 for the five-door. The 2018 Rio is powered by a 1.6L four-cylinder with 130 horsepower and 119 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
“This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition, while raising the bar in the small-car segment,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA.
