Infiniti is going to unveil the 2018 Infiniti QX80 at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show on November 14. Leading up to its debut, Infiniti has released a batch of teasers of the 2018 QX80, which it says will have a commanding presence.
“Infiniti’s design DNA has been scaled up for our largest SUV. The QX80 brings a new commanding presence with powerful muscularity and enhanced horizontal movement,” stated Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President, Global Design. “Our designers raised the visual height of our iconic double arch grille and signature headlamps striking an unmistakable road presence.”
Infiniti initially teased the new QX80 earlier this year with the debut of the QX80 Monograph concept, but it’s expected that the new QX80 will be toned down a lot compared to the concept. The 2018 Infiniti QX80 will continue to ride on the same platform as the current model and will also have the same 400 horsepower 5.6L V8. It’s expected that eventually a smaller engine will be offered, which will most likely be a turbocharged V6.
