Hyundai has announced the pricing for the 2018 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, which starts at $26,385. Even with the refreshed styling and more features, the 2018 Sonata Hybrid is now $500 cheaper than the 2017 model.
On the outside the 2018 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid gets a revised front fascia with a new hood, front fenders, the new Hyundai signature cascading grille shape, and a new rear deck lid. There are also new 16-and 17-inch wheels. Inside the interior gets smaller changes, with the biggest updates being a revised center stack area and instrument cluster.
The Sonata Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L GDI 4-cylinder engine that’s mated to a 38 kW electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission. The lithium-ion polymer battery has been increased by nine percent to give the Sonata Hybrid one more mile per gallon in the city and on the highway. The Sonata Hybrid is rated at 42 mpg combined.
There are a few new features, like standard Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and available Forward Collision Warning with an Automatic Emergency Braking function. The Lane Departure Warning now adds Lane Keep Assist function and wireless charging for mobile devices is also available.
