In addition to unveiling the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels Edition, Chevy has also unveiled the 2018 COPO Camaro, which is available with a 302 Gen V Small Block.

2018 COPO Camaro

As Chevrolet’s factory-built drag racer, the 2018 COPO Camaro comes standard with the new 302 engine that’s based on the LT1 in the Camaro SS. If you want more power, a naturally aspirated 427 (7.0L) or supercharged 350 (5.7L) racing engines are optional. All COPO Camaro engines are mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The supercharged 350 gives the COPO Camaro mid-8-second quarter-mile times at nearly 160 mph.

“The introduction of a new COPO Camaro is always exciting and the new engine and Hot Wheels package expand choices for customers,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “Chevrolet has supported Camaro drag racers for more than 50 years and the historic COPO Camaro program continues to offer them more ways to win.”

Only 69 COPO Camaros race cars are available and you can register here for a chance to get one. Chevy says that an independent third party will randomly select purchasers from the pool of interested customers.
