BMW has unveiled the first ever BMW M3 CS. The 2018 BMW M3 CS amplifies the regular M3 with more power, carbon fiber additions and an exclusive interior.

2018 BMW M3 CS

Starting with the upgrades under the hood, the 2018 BMW M3 CS is powered by a 3.0L six-cylinder that generates 453 horsepower, 28 more than the standard M3 and 443 lb-ft. of torque, which is up from 406 lb-ft. The twin-turbocharged six-cylinder is mated to a 7-speed M double clutch transmission that sends the power to the rear wheels. The M3 CS can reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, while its top speed is limited to 174 mph.

To make the M3 CS lighter than the standard M3, BMW added a lot of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic parts. For example the hood is made of CFRP, which is 25 percent lighter and the CFRP roof it more than 13 pounds lighter. The lighter parts, helped the M3 CS drop around 110 pounds compared to the standard M3.
