Porsche is currently working on the second-generation Panamera, which is expected to launch in 2017. The next Panamera is going to ride on a new MSB platform that will likely be shared with Bentley, but the Panamera may get unique V6 and V8 engines.
According to sources, the new V6 and V8 gas engines are sportier than the current VW/ Audi engines, but it hasn’t been decided what models outside the Porsche lineup will get the new engines. The engines will be used for the MSB platform, which is a designed for front-engined models with either rear or all-wheel-drive.

Bentley hasn’t confirmed if the next-generation Continental GT and Flying Spur will be built on the new MSB platform, since Bentley may also decided to use Audi’s MLB platform that is the basis for models like the A4, A6 and A8.

In the meantime it’s also being reported that the next-generation Panamera may also get a two-door version with hard and soft-top roofs.
