2017 Porsche Macan four-cylinder starts at $48,550

The popular Porsche Macan SUV is now going to be even more attainable later this year when the new entry-level Macan arrives. Following the introduction of the Macan S, Macan Turbo, and the Macan GTS models, Porsche is now introducing the four-cylinder powered 2017 Macan.

The popular Porsche Macan SUV is now going to be even more attainable later this year when the new entry-level Macan arrives. Following the introduction of the Macan S, Macan Turbo, and the Macan GTS models, Porsche is now introducing the four-cylinder powered 2017 Macan.

The Macan is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that generates 252 hp from 5,000 to 6,800 rpm and 273 pound-feet of torque available between 1,600 rpm and 4,500 rpm. The four-cylinder is mated to a standard seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission featuring Auto Start Stop technology. The Macan will has a 0-60 mph time of 6.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package featuring Launch Control. It’s top track speed is 142 mph. The Macan is also 18 percent more fuel efficient than the Macan S and is rated at 25 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg in the city.

Even though the Macan is now the entry-level model in the Macan lineup, it still comes standard with Bi-Xenon headlights, 8-way power front seats, seat centers in Alcantara, the newest generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM), Piano Black interior package, and a lane departure warning system.

The Macan will arrive in showrooms in July with pricing starting at $47,500, excluding delivery, processing, and handling fee of $1,050.
