Mercedes-Benz also revealed the all-new C-Class Coupe earlier this month, but the C63 Coupe only shares its doors, roof and trunk lid with the slower, less powerful model. To make room for the V8 and the increased track width of the front and rear axles, the C63 recieved a redesigned front end as well as new front and rear fenders. The flared wheel arches make the C63 Coupe 2.51-inches wider at the front and 2.59-inches wider at the rear.

With 469-hp and 479 lb-ft. of torque on tap, the C63 Coupe reaches 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, while the C63 S with its 503-hp and 516 lb-ft. is a hair faster at 3.8 seconds. The standard C63 Coupe has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph, while the C63 S has a top speed of 180 mph. The V8 is mated to a 7-speed transmission, which shifts faster than in the last C63 Coupe.

The 2017 C63 Coupe is going to debut on September 15 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but we’ll have to wait until the summer of 2016 until it starts rolling into showrooms.
