There have been rumors about the Jeep Grand Cherokee one day getting the 707-hp Hellcat engine, but Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has yet to confirm anything. Now sources claim have confirmed that the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is on its way and FCA is currently testing mules under a top secret project called Project K.
If the sources are correct, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be powered by the same supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 as the other Hellcat models, which means that the engine’s output should still be around 707 horsepower. The V8 will be mated to a standard eight-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive will be standard. With that much power under the hood, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is going to be a monster with a 0-60 mph time under three seconds and an estimated top speed of 200 mph.

The other high-performance Grand Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee SRT is expected to get a power increase as well to around 490 horsepower, up from the current 475-hp.
