2017 Honda Civic Si to get 230-hp 2.0L turbo?

Although Honda hasn’t revealed any details, reports have surfaced that claims that the next Civic Si will be powered by a turbocharged engine with 230 horsepower.

Now that the standard Civic can be equipped with a small turbocharged engine, we’re now wondering what Honda has in store for the next-generation Civic Si. Although Honda hasn’t revealed any details, reports have surfaced that claims that the next Civic Si will be powered by a turbocharged engine with 230 horsepower.

It’s expected that the next Civic Si will be powered by a de-tuned version of the 2.0L turbo four-cylinder that powers the current Civic Type R. The Si will have around 230 horsepower, which is 25 more horsepower than the current CIvic Si. Honda has already confirmed that the tenth-generation Civic will be available in sedan, coupe and hatchback body styles, but it’s not known if all three versions will be offered as an Si.

The Civic Si isn’t expected to arrive until later next year.
